English Newsletters - New "Free Events" Section

There is going to be at least a trial of free events - they will be in the new 4th section of the main newsletters (and maybe others) below the vocabulary, grammar and English learning advice ones.

These may include text chats and webinars (or any suggestions) etc. and the topics will be about the IELTS, TOEFL and CAE exams etc. - for example for the CAE, one of the Skype teachers is called Martin who used to be a CAE examiner: "http://www.onlineenglishteacher.com/Martin".

Initially, there will be a group chat by Skype on Sunday May 22nd as a simple start - it will be text-based only and the topic will be questions and answers about the IELTS - it will be run by Philip ("http://www.onlineenglishteacher.com/Philip") and take place from 8:30am to 9:30am time in the UK (GMT+1) - the first 30 minutes will be welcoming (and adding any Skype IDs to the group) - the next 30 minutes will be specifically questions and answers - in the main section please avoid personal comments to the host/everyone such as: "Hello, how are you?" etc. and only ask directly to the host when they indicate they want a new question - you can do that in the first 30 minutes or after the end for those who wish to continue etc. - thank you.

Please try to send your Skype ID before 8:30am time in the UK on Sunday May 22nd. You can also do it from 8:30-8:45am - however from 8:45-9:30am especially e-mail requests might not be added and Skype requests also might not be added. Please note that the technology allows a maximum of 100 participants - if this happens to be a problem then other discussions can also be started simultaneously if it proves easy to do. If only a small number arrive, we can do a Skype voice conference call instead of text chat (maximum 25 people). There might be a slight delay of adding Skype IDs after the 8:30am start (IDs might possibly not be added before this time) - please be patient if there are many to add - there is 30 minutes to do it in, which should be plenty before the main 30 minute question and answer section.
